NOMINATED TO EUROPEAN POWER BOAT OF THE YEAR 2018!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The jury for the \u201cEuropean Power Boat of the Year 2018\u201d gathered in France during the Cannes Yachting Festival. Many were waiting with baited breath for the nomination of the models assigned the title European Power Boat of the Year 2018. Nomination in one of the classified categories is always positive for the manufacturers and designers \u2013 a vote of confidence that they are getting things right. As before, the nominations were divided into the following categories: lengths up to 25 feet, up to 35 metres; up to 45 metres; more than 45 feet, and finally offshore models. The European Power Boat of the Year 2018 winner in each category was announced on Saturday evening on 20 January 2018, at the end of the first day of D\u00fcsseldorf Boot, the world\u2019s largest indoors boat show.<\/p>\n

With the C65 Cruiser, Askeladden can confirm an exciting development to a new series of boats that will surely bring fun and excitement to the boat market for years to come.\u00a0The Askeladden C65 Cruiser represents the next stage of Askeladden’s innovative product development, and will be launched at boat shows in the Nordic countries and Europe this winter and spring.<\/p>\n

The C65 Cruiser is the first boat in a series of models based on the C65 hull platform, with a superstructure for weekend cruises. It provides more comfort for overnight stays than the C61 Cruiser, which is an overnighter, and has been accepted to the same class as the C75 Cruiser, as a weekend cruiser.<\/p>\n

The new boat features all the best designs of Askeladden’s C-series \u2013 with a focus on developing both design, colours, materials and performance based on the C75 and C61 platforms. The main aim has been to develop a contemporary, forward-looking boat with a wide appeal among modern-day boaters, focusing on design, technical and practical features, performance and colours.<\/p>\n

The Askeladden C65 Cruiser is an open, elegant and sporty weekend daycruiser. It is the first boat to be launched with the new C65 platform. The spacious cockpit can seat a total of 7 persons. The aft U-shaped sofa with space for a table can quickly convert into a large sunlounger. \u00a0The driving position represents a whole new standard in weather protection, ergonomics, practical features and, not least, design.\u00a0The aft deck incorporates the unique design of the C61 series. With an open deck from the cockpit to the large bathing platform, the boat’s deck is extended and it is simple and fun to dive off the bathing platform and get involved in water sports, without having to climb over the back of the boat.\u00a0The aft bench has a folding back where you can relax after a dip in the sea to watch others having fun in the water. The C65 Cruiser has comfortable space for overnight stays. It has a canopy with plenty of headroom, that folds away into a canopy garage. The front cabin comfortably sleeps two adults. The front cabin also has a flushing toilet in a separate cabinet. The boat has a simple pantry with sink, cooker top and fridge drawer.<\/p>\n

GROUND-BREAKING HULL DESIGN<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A tremendous amount of work has been invested in developing the new C65 hull platform that has the same qualities as the C75 and C61 platforms. The goal has been to find the perfect combination of minimum planing threshold, smooth driving, a dry cockpit, high speeds, economic fuel consumption and, not least, high stability. It is therefore fair to claim that the Askeladden C65 Cruiser is a genuine innovation in its size range.<\/p>\n

The C65 Cruiser is light on the water, very secure and can achieve high speeds.\u00a0The boat has been designed for outboard engines from 150 to 250 HP. Carrying the largest engine in this range, you can achieve maximum speeds of approx. 45 knots.<\/p>\n

Zipwake fully automatic dynamic trim control system<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Askeladden Boats has entered into a collaboration with the Swedish company Zipwake and their Norwegian importer ProNav, aiming to standardise the Zipwake system on Askeladden boats. The first boat to have this system fitted is the C65 Cruiser. Zipwake is a unique and ground-breaking system that uses interceptor trim tabs and advanced electronics for automation of the manual trim tabs that have been used in boats for decades. The system automatically controls pitch and roll, stabilising the boat and providing users with unique comfort on the water when compared with traditional systems.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
